This grant supported a three-country (Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh) network consultative meeting on April 28, 2011 about advancing health equity through effective reform of health professional education. Observers from China and India were also in attendance.

This will support the Health Sciences University of Mongolia to strengthen and extend its development of training of health professionals for work in rural Mongolia.

The Japan Center for International Exchange will organize a project to produce and publish a special series on Japan in The Lancet in September 2011.
