This two-year project would support master and doctoral degree training and shorter-term faculty development in global health at the University of Washington (U Wash). Grant funds will cover Chinese study costs, matched by U Wash investing in tuition waivers and mentoring support. Up to 12 faculty and students will be recruited on a competitive basis from six Chinese universities (Peking, Fudan, Sun Yat-Sen, Central South, Zhejiang, and Wuhan), complemented by parallel CMB seed grants in global health to these universities.
This project supports the development of a volume on the Transnational History of Health in SE Asia from 1914 to 2014. It is one of three CMB-commissioned volumes in anticipation of CMB'c 100th Anniversary.
