Five-Country Network on Health Professional Education Reforms
In this 2.5-year project at $230,000, a five-country Asian regional network will make joint efforts in reforming health professional education. The network, renamed Asia-Pacific Network on Health Professional Education Reforms (ANHER) and composed of teams from Bangladesh, China, India, Thailand, and Vietnam has adopted a common protocol and tools to survey their national and institutional levels of medical, nursing and public health education. This project will consolidate the network structure and support assessment and sharing of effective intervention and good practices. Also in this project, the network will systematically collect and publish 10-12 case stories of successful education reforms, discuss them on two workshops and presenting the findings in regional and international meetings. A secretariat will be set up to manage communications among the network members.
