Happy Year of the Rabbit

Happy Lunar New Year of the Rabbit to our CMB friends and colleagues!

As we welcome the lunar new year, we extend our best wishes to all of you in Chinese—yù tù yíng chūn (玉兔迎春)—which is to say, “The Jade Rabbit welcomes the spring.”  The rabbit symbolizes longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture, which are fitting sentiments for 2023.  We mark the beginning of this new year filled with hope that, as colleagues and friends, we can continue to work toward strengthening the systems that improve the health and well-being of people throughout the world.

Now that travel restrictions have eased, we look forward to seeing Asia-based colleagues in person in the Year of the Rabbit.  It will be a welcome opportunity to renew our friendship and discuss our mutual interests in medical education, public health, global health, supporting promising young health professionals, and more.

On behalf of CMB’s trustees and staff, we extend our heartfelt best wishes for a happy and healthy Year of the Rabbit!
