Tobacco Control in China: Stepping Back and Stepping Up

This project will bring together leading academics and policy-analysts to examine tobacco in China, focusing on many unique aspects of tobacco in China but within the context of broader international lessons learned from other societies. A set of papers will be commissioned focused on tobacco in China but also considering the experiences of other societies that have grappled with many of the issues now under active examination in China – changes of social norms, trends in tax revenue, income of affected farmers, and role of tobacco in economic development.
