Three-School Consortium for Development Master of Public Health Degree Program

The goal of this three year $200,000 proposal is to develop China’s MPH degree program into world class standards involving core curriculum, teaching approaches and curricular materials so as to bridge the gap between China and the rest of the world in MPH education. A MPH Curriculum Reform Consortium organized by Sichuan with Nanjing Medical University and Zhengzhou University will work together to identify obstacles and challenges and to create pilot programs for testing improved educational strategies. Work to be supported by the grant will include literature review, focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and a survey to landscape the field. The project will complete a report on knowledge and competencies of MPH degree holders for implementation in and beyond the cooperating schools.
