Support for Chinese and Asian Participants at the Prince Mahidol Award Conference
The Prince Mahidol Award Conference serves as an annual international forum for sharing evidence for health-related policies and strengthening commitment to global health. The conference attended by a range of health leaders and researchers is hosted by the Royal Thai Government, the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation, and collaborating foundations and agencies, with Mahidol University serving as the conference secretariat. Nearly all of the funding of the conference comes from the Thai Government. Recognizing that the conference provides an excellent venue for networking, this grant will support the participation of 20 Chinese and Southeast Asian scientists—either as participants or as speakers annually—for three years. Special priority will be given to young scholars and emerging leaders. Themes for upcoming conferences are expected to include health information systems, human resources for health, and health financing. As a supporter of the conference, China Medical Board has been invited to sit on the conference organizing committee.
