This grant supported Ningxia Medical College in hosting the rural medical education workshop from October 22-24, 2008. The workshop's theme was “Challenges and Strategies for Rural Medical Education and Innovations.” The event brought together a cluster of provincially-oriented medical colleges to discuss and share experiences on medical education and innovations in less advanced regions in China. The workshop was the first step in the development of the CMB Rural Network.
