Research, Priorities, and Development for "Healthy People 2020" Strategy in China

The goal of this two year project is to put forward policy suggestion and design and offer special action plans for the “Healthy People in China 2020” strategy. The aim is to help set priorities for China's health care systems reform. The project will undertake literature reviews, interviews and consultations, and analyses of existing databases to describe the demographic, disease spectrum, burden of disease and people’s health indicators. Data analyses using quantitative methods such as statistical analysis models and econometric models will assist in the making a list of the health issues in the health care demands and utilizations and determining the priority setting in health care systems reform. A special action plan will be designed for “Healthy People in China 2020” using priority setting results that relate to allocations of health care resources and health care systems reform.
