Promote China's Dissemination, Review, and Adaptation of the Global Commission Report

The goal of this four-year project is to spark reform of medical education in China by launching investigations and pilot studies towards a third generation of health educational reforms. China Medical University, which has one of China’s leading centers of medical education financed by the CMB, will work with its network of 18 cooperative medical universities to promote innovations in the instructional and institutional design of health education in China. The project will consist of three phases: investigation, understanding and disseminating the framework of the Commission Report; redesign of health professional education in individual collaborative universities; and pilot studies of third generation of health educational reforms. The China Medical University work will be closely coordinated and will feed into the proposed “China Commission” being led by the Peking University Health Sciences Center. The outcomes of this work will be communicated to the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and also disseminated to other schools in China.
