This project, undertaken by Chiang Mai University, identified priority issues that require attention for better management of nursing education and the nursing workforce in Laos and Vietnam. Using the WHO SEARO Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Management Country Assessment Framework as a study framework, data was obtained from literature reviews and in-depth interviews. Key personnel from selected nursing educational institutions and hospitals such as the College of Health Sciences and Savannakhet Public Health School in Laos and Nam Dinh Nursing University and Vinh College in Vietnam were interviewed.
