This three-year project at $151,447 plans to add a mental health component to an ongoing experiment on health system reform in five mountainous counties in Ningxia that is being conducted in collaboration with Professors William Hsiao and Winnie Yip. The mental health project includes an initial prevalence study and a subsequent assessment of the effects of providing public education and changing the provider payment model on the utilization and quality of mental health services.
