Fudan Global Health Institute
This three-year grant would support the planning and development of a newly established Fudan Global Health Institute (FGHI). Grant funds would help the Institute develop its faculty, research, education, and international activities. The proposed activities include (1) development of global health curriculum; (2) seed grants to support multi-disciplinary research by faculty teams; (3) training of 100 Chinese and overseas graduate students in three summer programs; (4) building south-south cooperation through Asian postdoctoral fellows; and (5) publishing and disseminating research findings. The summer school builds on an ongoing US-NIH Fogarty pilot grant, and the educational component builds on an earlier CMB grant (No. 10-028).
