Doctor of Public Health Training
This 4.5-year program would support Xi’an Jiaotong to develop the first Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) education program in China. Grant funds would help Xi’an to develop a Chinese DrPH training model that aims at producing public health leaders with advanced professional skills. Building upon a CMB planning grant (No. 10-023), the proposed activities include (1) development of DrPH curriculum; (2) training faculty and (3) training the first batch of DrPH students. Xi’an would tap into resources of leading domestic and international public health educators such as PUMC, Peking, Fudan, Harvard and University of North Carolina for program development, faculty and students training.
