CMB Collaborating Program in Evidence-Based Health Policy-Making

The project intends to develop the Shanghai Health Development and Research Center (SHDRC) of Shanghai Health Bureau into a CMB-CP platform for evidence-based policy translation in Shanghai. Five research projects most relevant to Shanghai will be organized around regional health account to guide health financing, family doctor system, long-term care insurance, secondary public hospital reform and evaluation of the reform. The program will train 600 policy makers in health management to strengthen research translation. Shanghai will provide matching funds of 1.8 million RMB (nearly double the CMB funding) for this program. Six young fellows from SHDRC will receive overseas fellowship of 3-6 months.
