This grant supported an Asian Consultation workshop on November 3, 2008. The workshop, sponsored by Hanoi School of Public Health, had three main goals: to landscape the educational programs in health sciences in the Southeast Asian region, to review the current health-related university/school policies and plans, and propose modalities for future leadership and institutional developments. Participants included key academic and policy leaders in Vietnam and neighboring Asian countries, as well as public health and health policy experts from Europe and the United States.
