This four-year project for $330,000 aims to strengthen nursing faculty, foster policy research, and provide research and website support to the eight-school CMB nursing network. The grant would continue support for the SYSU-Oregon partnership in PhD training, enable SYSU to facilitate the ongoing network-wide nursing policy research, and operate the network’s nursing website which is intended to be a national resource.The Oregon partnership involves SYSU faculty spending 6 months in coursework and research mentoring overseas for SYSU PhD degrees. Policy research in the network will be promoted with the technical support of Professor Linda Aiken at the University of Pennsylvania, including a policy oriented dissemination conference. SYSU will develop a nursing website for promotion of nursing throughout China.
