Carin Leong Pai, CFA, is Executive Vice President and Head of Portfolio Management at Fiduciary Trust Company International. In this role, she is responsible for leading Fiduciary Trust’s team of portfolio managers who are investment advisors to clients. She oversees the firm’s equity strategy and process as the head of the Equity Strategy Committee. She is a member of the Asset Allocation Committee and works closely with investment leadership to develop strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies. Among many other responsibilities, Carin currently serves as a member of Fiduciary Trust’s Management Committee, Operating Committee, and Risk Management Committee. During her tenure at Fiduciary, Ms. Pai developed the firm’s Investment Associate program, which grooms associates and provides a career path to portfolio management. Prior to joining Fiduciary Trust in 1996, she worked at Prudential Securities in the brokerage division.
Ms. Pai is a recipient of the New York Business Journal’s 2016 Women of Influence award, honoring women business leaders in the New York City area for their achievements in the marketplace as well as their commitment to the community and mentoring programs. She is currently serving as a volunteer consultant for Visions for the Blind, a non-profit organization providing training and services to the blind and visually impaired. She is also a recipient of Money Management Executive’s 2016 Top Women in Asset Management award. On top of this, Ms. Pai serves on the board of trustees of the Citizens Budget Commission, a non-partisan, non-profit organization whose mission is to achieve constructive change for New York government services and finances. Ms. Pai was selected for inclusion in Crain’s New York Business 2019 Notable Women in Banking and Finance list. A strong advocate for women in leadership, she is a member of Chief, an organization for executive women in business. Her accolades include Wealth Report’s AAPI Portfolio Manager of the Year and she was recognized as a finalist by Investment News for Portfolio Manager of the Year.
Ms. Pai earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University at Albany, State University of New York, and completed an Executive Program at Harvard Business School for investment management. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of New York.
